Welcome to the Chorlton Anglers Group website

Chorlton Anglers Group are working in conjuction with Mersey Valley Warden Service to create a better fishing environment on Chorlton Waterpark for anglers both young and old.
In our first year we have improved the bond between "Mersey Valley Warden Service" and anglers and feel we are now working as a team to improve Chorlton for the next generation of anglers.As group we can apply for funding for various organisations to acomplish various project around the lake, last year we had 4 brand new pegs built on the lake with a view to doing the rest over the next couple of years,our smaller projects are done by our members attending workparties during the closed season where we have reconstucted old pegs,built fish refuges,cut back trees that were and obstruction,learnt how to construct Willow Groynes and planted aquatic plants.

As a Group we feel the future of angling on CWP is essential and we are currently in the process of setting up a "Young Anglers Group" where kids can come down to CWP and be taught how to fish by a qualified coach on all angling aspects.
This is all going to be part of a 3 year project backed by the"Anlging Trust" "Environment Agency" and the "Greater Manchester Angling Development Board".
